Kashmir and Visas: What's the problem?

"Kashmir is an inseparable part of India and China cannot question that position." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8285106.stm
Until the mid-19th century, the term "Kashmir" referred only to the valley lying between the Great Himalayas and the Pir Panjal range since then, it has been used for a larger area that today includes the Indian administered state of Jammu and Kashmir consisting of the Kashmir valley." What seems to be the problem for these people travelling across the borders? Can you draw any co-relation between that and US border problems?

  1. I think this is extremely wrong. Arguments like this can lead to wars. The U.S is having the same problem with Mexico right now. THe U.S is spending to much money on increasing the the boarder and having to deal with people who try to cross the boarder. They go to jail and we have to pay for it with taxes. We all need to start to get along which is what president Obama is trying to do by stopping and taking apart our nuclear bombs. If this is to work then other countries with nuclear bombs may stop with their production. Everyone needs to start thinking like this it may take some time but it can be done. As for India and China they need to be diplomatic and fix the problem because if the government doesn't then people will take action into their own hands.

  2. I think that the U.S need's to think for a little bit. If people want to come to America for the freedom and our rich supplies I think that there should not be anything in there way of coming, but at the same time I think that our government is smart because people that want to come to America, they need to enter in with no disease or anything like that because it can easily spread throughout America. So it's wrong but also right at the same time.

  3. There a dilemma much like this one happening in the U.S. involving the U.S. and Mexico. The U.S. is wasting too much money on the border between the United States and Mexico. And the citizens of the U.S. are the ones paying for it through taxes. Its not fair the the people to pay for it. The government needs to just make an agreement with the Mexican government to settle it. It's getting way too out of hand with everyone getting smuggled in and out of the U.S.

  4. I think it is wrong for America and other Border countries who are having problems to keep innocent people on their side of the line. They want to have freedom from their own country for a reason. We are wasting too much money worrying about Mexico that we are not thinking about the topics we really need to think about, our children. This is a way for us to create a war. Also the tax payers are paying for the border patrol and everything else about the Mexican/US border.

  5. I think that if people want to come here to live a life where people believe what they want to believe, be with who they want to be with, and be who they want to be then they should be able to without the government trying to keep them out, as long as before they come into the U.S. they get checked for aany diseases that can be life threatening.

  6. I think this is wrong for th U.S. to keep people living a better world in america. Its no like they are taking all of our jobs. I think if they werent here it would be difficult to start the economy running again because they are getting jobs for buisiness that are going bankrupt and they are able to do good and succeed. America is a free country and not letting border countries is very rude and unbelieveble. I think that they should become legal citizens if they dont have one in stead of being put in jail for crossing the border.

  7. People should be able to be allowed into any country no matter what race they are or what problems they have. If they want to live a better life then they should be allowed to have a better life. I understand why most people dont get in because of disease or because there is to many people and they dont want it over crowded. So as a solution they should check the people trying to get in for disease or any type of sickness. I think it is ok for them to be in any country as long as they have been checked for any problems they might have.

  8. The problem in India is that the people traveling between Kashmir and China are given loose visas in China, which aren't accepted in Kashmir. Many of the people with loose visas aren't allowed onto plane flights back to India, because their identification is invalid. This creates a barrier between large nearby countries which is a major part in the beginnings of a war. This problem is similar to the problem between the United States and Mexico. The United States does not allow Mexicans to legally enter the United States. This creates tensions on the border. This also demands a lot of taxpayer money to keep immigrants out of our country.

  9. People of different diversity which is all people should be allowed to come live there life and actually have a life in America. We understand that America is aware of people out of country that they mght have this sickness,or this problem , or they are bad people. It is good that we check them but that's the only reason why they come to the mainland to live a better life, and we should all equally have that chance to live our lives as they want to do the same. We should give them the same opportunity that we would want.

  10. This problem between India and China on Kashmir has become a global dilemma. People have been denied their right to cross the border between Kasmir and China. About two weeks ago a business man from China who regularly travels from the Kashmir and Chinese border was denied access to his flight home because his visa was a "loose visa" or an official piece of paper stapeled on to your visa. "It is wrong, it is not acceptable to us," he said. "Kashmir is an inseperable part of India and China cannot question that position." India has put their foot down on their regions and which part belongs to India and which parts belong to China. This dilemma is similar to the Mexico and United States border problem. The U.S. is obsessed with keeping Mexican immigrants out and U.S civilians in and "safe" from any harm. They have spent a lot of money for this, along with taxpayers money. This has created a tension between the two borders.

  11. Indian immigration authorities told a regular china traveler than he was no valid when using a hand- written Chinese visa. They denied him because he was not from Kashmir. People are being prevented from traveling because of this problem. China was refusing to reconise Kahsmir as part of India. Kashmir is part of India, and China cannot deny people from Kashmir to travel, because they do have the right. Sometimes people from Mexico try to sneak people across the US boarder, which is illegal. Mexican immagrants are usually drug dealers, carrying dangerous, and illegal things across the border. The US tries to avoid these dangers from entering our country.

  12. I think it is wrong for the government not to let people move from their country. People have been denied their right to cross the border between Kasmir and China because of 'fake visas'. Because of this problem, no one is being aloud to travel out of the country. I think people should have to right to move out of their country, live where ever they want to live, as long as they are same and aren't a threat to our country.

  13. This is a bad situation that is happening. This is happening in India and China. This is about Kashmir. Borders should be fixed for example with the different ranges. Kahmir is also considered a very importeant piece for India and China. People are going across borders and taking things they should not be taking. This crisis is also including the Kashmir Valley. There are many boreder sissues happening, People are starting to be to crazy about the matter. For example people are acting not human. People ha ve to understand that it i illegal to cross some boreders. Even though it may not be fair, but people have to stand by the law and be careful of their actions.

  14. In my perspective if people want to come live in U.S.A. and live a life where they can believe what they want to believe, be who they want to be, and do what they believe, they should be able to without the government trying to keep them away, Before they come to U.S.A, they should get checked for any diseases, or anything that is life threatening.

  15. The problem they are having at Kashmir is like our problem we have in the US. People from mexico are crossing our border and we are paying money to prevent this problem. I don't have a problem with people are coming to our county but they should legal. If people cross our border illegally they could pass on diseases so we should fix this problem soon.

  16. I think that is morally wrong to not allow someone into the U.S. everyone deserves a chance at freedom and all the luxuries of America. For us to not even allow people to try to make their life's better is wrong. Anyone should be allowed into America they should just get checked out for life threatening diseases first. People have been denied to cross the border of Kashmir and China is the same problem as the U.S. not allowing Mexicans to cross the border of America and Mexico.

  18. I believe we just need to think about this more! We understand that people fro outside of the country may have diseases and such but come on now we have the answer for some of them. People come to live what we do because they believe that it is a good life and they just might want what is best for them and if they have kids then for them too. Some people even just want to get away from what they're going through because they nee an escape. There are tons of things we can come up with the point is that we too should be open minded and don't tale away their persuit of happiness like our constitution says appearently they care and they neeed this opportunity

  19. People who are traveling across borders there are disputes about what country they are in. The region is divided between India and Pakistan, but border disputes for Kashmir has got China saying that part of Kashmir is in China. This has affected many people in the area because each country is telling them you belong in this country and it is very stressful and confusing. This is the same problem the U.S. is having today. Many people every day are entering U.S. territory, specifically from Mexico. Mexicans are crossing through the border and going toward San Diego to live a better life and hoping they don't get caught. This is a big problem for the United States because it isn't their responsibility to take care of these people and there is too much overcrowding. The same problem is going on all the way on the other side of the world.

  20. I think that the u.s. and the kashmir should not be paying so much money on the borders.People are still going to get in, and it could cause a war if we they don't resalve the problem. We could also be using the money for other more important problems.

  21. Chinese "loose visas" were not accepted and they were right not to be accepted. It is one thing that not all of the travelers can border the same flight. The same thing is in the United States. People miss flights sometimes. However, being prevented from traveling is just wrong. If people are willing to pay, they should pay and be allowed to travel.

  22. I think that people should be able to live and have their own beliefs and not be told what to believe. The U.S is spending to much money on increasing the the border and trying to deal with people who try to cross the border. We're wasting money by paying taxes to keep these people in jail when it's really unnecessary. India and China need to be diplomatic and fix the problem because if the government doesn't then people will get out of control by putting matters into their hands.

  23. I think U.S is nuts because there wasting a lot of money on the Mexico border. Just because they do not want immigrants people to come. When basically immigrants only want thier dreams to come true. For example they want thier best for their family and have a better life. Although U.S do not see it like that. If they keep having this problems I think is going to turn a disaster. I also thought that America was freedom, help out and live life to the fullest.

  24. I think people should be able to live freely. The US is spending way to much money trying to keep people out of our country. The government is making the people pay taxes for boarder patrol. If we let people into the US they might have a better life and be able to live life to there best ability. People shouldn't be told where to live they should be free.

  25. People who constantly travel between Kashmir and China have "loose" visas. These visas aren't accepted in Kashmir because they are considered invalid. Citizens are complaining that they should be allowed into the borders of all countries with their current loose visas. We have a similar problem here in the United States with Mexico. The United States doesn't allow Mexicans to cross the border. This issue is causing a higher increase in taxes to fund the security and it discludes people from other countries from having oppurtunities in America, or in this case Kashmir. I believe Kashmir's choice of denying loose visas have both benefits and negative effects.

  26. We are having the same problems as we are having here in the U.S.. People from Mexico, and Canada, are coming into the U.S. illegally. It is impacting us with our jobs, and our economy. They are taking a lot of jobs that we could be doing because they work for less money.

  27. These people are so close to the border they should be able to cross it without an issue. The US is like this with Mexico. I can see why though in a way. Too many people can over populate areas and decrease job availability.
