Personnal Odyssey

Just like Odysseus, here is a man who ventured out on his own Odyssey. Check out his blog on YouTube. Would you ever want to take a journey which had you visit so many different countries in one year? Explain why.

Check it out and tell me what you think.

  1. No. I would not want to travel around the world in less than a year. It seems fun but I don't like being in a rush so I would not do it.

  2. If I had the oppurtunity to travel around the world and visit many countries, I would do it. I would travel around the world because I would want to see the different countries and their lifestyles. I would also want to see the countries beauties.

  3. i wouldnt want to take a journey where i set foot in every country to tell you the truth,i would miss my family and friends way too much. It would be way to tiring for me to do that in one year. yes it would interesting and i would learn alot but its just something thats not for me. I think its a crazy thing to do. Who ever is doing it has a lot of guts and is very brave. It could be very dangerous,

  4. Yes, i think that it would be an amassing experience to step foot in every country in the world. For me it would be a fantastic opportunity but i would want to be with another person for safty and to keep me on task. Also i would want to have more time to be able to do this so that i could experience every place i step foot in. I think that a down side about this trip is that you would be busy for the whole time and you wouldnt have anytime to rest or let your feet up. Something that i love about going to places is learning the culture of that place. I would have a blast if i did this trip and i would feel like i did something that only so many people could do but i would fear loosing touch with my familly and friends when i was on this trip.

  5. I would and would not like to go on a personal odyssey because I like to go to different countries, but I would like to spend more time in the countries that i visited. I also don't know if i would like to travel by sea because I have never traveled by boat. I would like to go to different countries to try the different foods. I hope to be a chef someday and i would like to add the different foods of the world to my cooking ability.

  6. If i had the money to go all over the world i would do it. It might be a bad idea if someone who had a really bad temper to go out because that person might get in to problems. The person who is going on this trip well have trying new foods.

  7. No, I would not want to travel to all the country's in just one year. I don't like to travel a lot and to me it would be so exhausting and would take so much out of you. The other thing is that I don't speech another language. An every time I travel something bad would happen. When I went to New Mexico it flooded and then I went to Hawaii and a hurricane came. So I rather just stay close to home.

  8. I don’t think I would ever travel to more than two countries a year. If I went over two or three it would get very tiring and I would start to lose interest and want to go home. It would also be a pain because you would have to learn all the languages to which countries you visit and that right there could take a year. There is too much dedication involved. Basically you have to have no life for two or three year’s straight.

  9. It would be fantastic to visit every nation on this planet. Why I would step foot in every nation in a year, is because you would get to experience one of the greatest things in the world, which is the world. Even though a year is not a lot and it wouldn't give you the chance to really explore, the upside to a year, is after you have stepped foot in every nation you can have a better decision on which nation you would like to take more interest it.
The answer to this question is, yes!

  10. no, i would not want to travel around the world and step foot in every country in the world because, it would take to much time and also it would be too hard. Another reason why I would not travel that much is because you can't use planes.

  11. If I had the money to go around the world and set foot in every country I would. the only thing that would change are the rules. i would try to go through everything like he did but if i got stuck or frustrated some how i would take a plane. i would also stay in el salvador for a while so i can say hi to my family.

  12. I would never want to travel around to every country in one year. I think it would be way to tireing and would not intresting to me because im not interested in that stuff. I would miss my family alot and also my best friends. If i did choose to travel it would probobly be a little fun but i think i would get sick of not bbeing able to fly or anything like that! Im not into traveling very much becuase i really like my home and i love the atmosphere and people here.

  13. I would rather not set a goal I know I wouldn't achieve. The primary reason I wouldn't do this is because it would be more of a job than it would an adventure. I'd have to rush through every country I venture in in order to achieve my goal. I'd rather not live in a year full of stress and rush around everywhere. The only reason I'd step out of the U.S. would be to vacation, and this goal doesn't sound very relaxing to me.

  14. Wow this guy is crazy. I would never want to do what this man is doing, because I do not think it is possible and it would be to hard and dangerous. I also don't think he is really doing this.

  15. If I had enough money to travel the world I would not want to. I would rather spend my money on something I would like to do. His idea is cool but I think he is nuts to try and do this in one year. With the money he is spending I would rather buy something for me, and half of the countries out there I would not even want to become close enough to see them!

  16. I wouldn't want to go on a mission like that because, it would just take to much time out of life. In a year so many things can happen between you family and friends. It would also be very risky, being some where unfamiliar to you, with diseases, wild animal, and even different customs.

  17. Yes, I would want to travel te world in a year. It would be a challenge for me to try. It would give me a chance to have fun. Although it would be all rushed and not as exciting. IF i could I would travel the world with no time limit and visit at least on special spot in that country. I would make it more of a learning trip so I could learn more about each culture. Ive always been one of those people who want to try something new so traveling the world would be perfect way to do that. Unlike the other man i would want to do it with someone perferably my mom.

  18. If somebody offered me that chance to travel around the world, I would do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately I do not have the money to do that myself. Traveling the world and seeing the other cultures other countries have would be so fun. I would not be able to see all the countries in the world in one year though. To make it even less possible, it would be insanely hard to do with out an airplane. This man is defiantly making his own Odyssey and I hope he will be able to complete it.

  19. No, I would not like to go on a journey all around the world in one year. Once i get to a place that I like I wouldn't like to fell like i want to leave. I would want to stay and look around and meet new people. However if you a in a rush it feels like you were never there.

  20. Yes I would like to travel around the world, but I would not want to do it in a certian amount of time.I would not want to be in a rush all of the time. It would be nice to see all of the different cultures and their lifestyles. I also wouldn't want to go on that journey alone.

  21. I do not think that I would like to venture on a trip with that many destinations. I believe that it would be better to visit a few countries that I have interest in, and spend some time in them.

  22. No, I wouldn't want to travel around all the countries in the world because it's too much of a rush for me to accomplish a odyssey of my own. But, it might sound like good idea for some of the people who like to travel. So, the options can be varied.

  23. Gota' love that crazy ginger. This dude has gone nuts. Trying to set foot in every country with out flying. Wow thats just wow. I doubt I'd be willing to go through all that especially because I hate noise crowded buses. They just drive me nuts. There is no way I could do what he is doing. Oh did I mention that I'm not very nice to people who I find bothersome.

  24. Contrary to what most people have said in there comments, i would certainly love to travel every country in the world if i had the resources to do so. I read these peoples comments about how it would get boring after a while and i find that astonishing. How can one possibly get bored on such an adventure like that? The fact that you can't use a plane and certain other ways of transportation just makes it sound like more of an adventure to me. There might be some countries you would not like to visit but you would have a way better time in a country you want to go to after due to the contrast of cultures. Its like being wet and freezing cold then taking a really hot shower.

You would gain so much knowledge and wisdom if you saw the whole entire world. I don't think thats an opportunity anyone should pass up.

  25. I SAY YES! You only have one chance to live and if you don't want to do something this amazing because you are afraid then what is the point of this life of ours? I mean think of the experience and the adventure you would have. Whoever this brave heart is I salute him!

  26. I don't think I would want to go on a year long trip and step foot in every country in the world. It would be very difficult and would take a lot of time and dedication.

  27. Tamara I just wanted to let you know that you have a couple of spelling errors in your paragraph. For instants instead of putting "feel" you wrote "fell", and in the last sentence you wrote "a" instead of "are". So am just giving you a heads up on your grammar.

  28. Lucia you have only one mistake in your paragraph, but I still have to correct you anyways. Your mistake was, that you wrote "a" odyssey instead of "an" odyssey.

  29. Tyler you have to capitalize all of your "I"'s when you're using it as your self.

  30. Noele, you commit the mistake to put "te" and not "the". Little one but you have to look for those little errors as well.
